It is possible that you are on the list! If your boss reported to secruity agency, like police or FBI because he felt you verbally threatened him when you had the heated discussion with him. Even your former company can do this to you, then you are really in trouble. They could simply indicate that you are unstable or a threat to other people's safety. I had a friend in graduate school was set up like this and he just couldn't find a job even he is an outstanding scientist here, not even postdoc opportunities. It is such a shame, it doesn't matter how good you are, if your boss or your company say it is black, you better say it is black no matter what color it is. If you don't, and they put a such label on you, you will be in trouble for a long long time.
