"John Rabe - The Story of John Rabe" was based on the historical documentation "Rabe's Diary." "Rabe's Diary" is well known as the Chinese version of Oscar laureate's best picture - "Schindler's List," directed by Stephen Spielberg. This movie documented German NAZI Party member John Rabe's efforts to save 250,000 civilians during the Nanjing Massacre, WWII, when he lived in Nanking, China, from September 1937 – February 1938.
Pray the Lord for having John Heinrich Detlef Rabe (November 23, 1882-January 5, 1950)-Born in a traditional Christian family in Hamburg, Germany, his father was a captain. Since he was a child, he was baptized as a Christian, and Martin Luther's basic teachings profoundly influenced him. His grandson Thomas Rabe, M.D., actively works on promoting global peace. May God bless all for peace upon the earth.
Because of love for peace, we are looking back on the cruelty of war and the suffering of obstructing soldiers and refugees, and we shall thoroughly liquidate the sins and lingering poison of war madmen!
