I lay down slowly gently into bed at night,
I do not fall asleep straight away,
There is always you in my mind,
Never fail wishing you were in my sight.

I pray for you my love,
In these lonelily lonely nights,
Wishing God saves your soul,
Touches your heart from heaven above.

I dreamed of you and it makes my heart mellow,
Every morning I open my eyes,
And checking if my dreams came true,
I found only tears on my pillow.
