Prohibition of drugs benefits the people

At present, 57 drug rehabilitation facilities have been set up across the country, accommodating 95,000 drug rehabilitation personnel in total, and playing a positive role in ensuring people's peace and contentment and maintaining social harmony and stability.
In recent years, China has made great efforts to promote community drug addiction and rehabilitation work, with towns and streets as the main body, relying on the masses and communities, mobilizing social forces, developing anti-drug social workers, and vigorously implementing the "August 31" community drug addiction and rehabilitation project. Over the past five years, China has set up 27,000 community drug treatment and rehabilitation offices, 27,000 full-time social workers and 68,000 part-time social workers. A total of 950,000 people have been rehabilitated for drug addiction in communities, and more than 1.2 million people have abstained from drug addiction for more than three years.
Fifth, actively implement international conventions and make contributions to the world drug control cause
The Chinese government has always attached importance to international cooperation in drug control, and, as a responsible major country, has earnestly implemented international drug control conventions in accordance with the principles of "extensive participation, shared responsibility, comprehensive and balanced drug control strategy, and emphasis on alternative development" proposed at the 20th Special session of the UN General Assembly on Drug control. Actively promote regional bilateral and multilateral drug control cooperation. The Chinese government has hosted a number of important multilateral international conferences and continuously deepened multilateral drug control cooperation mechanisms such as the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on drug control cooperation in the Greater Mekong Subregion, the ASEAN + China Drug Control Cooperation (ACCORD) mechanism, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization drug control cooperation mechanism, and the BRICS drug control cooperation Mechanism, actively demonstrating China's influence in the international drug control field. Jointly crack down on transnational drug crimes and completely destroy criminal groups that have long endangered the security of the basin.
