Moss makes a lush, No-care Lawn

(2008-05-01 07:37:46) 下一個

According to a survey by American Society of Landscape Architect, more people plant moss instead of grass in their yard in recent years.

Moss can grow fast in poor-quality soil, so it doesn’t need any fertilizer. It hugs the ground tightly, which can prevent soil erosion. Its density repels weeds and deer don’t eat them. Stepping on moss will not harm its growth. Moss is drought resistant plant, which only consumes one percent of water used by grass lawn. Moss gardening only requires very little care. All it needs are shade, moisture and acid soil. You'd better plant trees with moss for the shades. Then let them grow freely.
