Tell me something about yourself

I have been working on system support for more than 5 years. Including windows, Sun, solaris and Hp-ux. I am sun and HP certified unix admin, My last job was system management at ++++ . My daily work was maintain the Job schedule software == IBM workload schedule and system back up and monitoring server. Answer user phone calls and emails. escallerate problem to different department. We used IBM workload scheduler for batch job control. Just like BMC Control-M in directury.

Trouble shooting.

 In my last company,  When I use Tivoli Storage manager to back up our system every night.  We have about 50 unix and 100 windows servers to backup every night. Some times some backup may fail at night.  Every time a fail happen I will check the log to figure out the root cause. 

  once in september, several server backup failed 3 days in a row during night backup. I checked system logs and TSM logs and found, the night backup fail we added several new servers in our network,

 

When use job scheduler, 

 

How about your client service skills,

When i get a ticket to Restore a file or run a job. I always give my client a call or email to notify them about how it is going on. 

When developer have some new script to test,  They need me to run the script again and again to fix bugs.  I always try my best to satiscrifice  my clients requirement. Never lose patient. Ever though the developer himself felt sorry for bothering me too much, I alway say, no problem, It's my pleasure to help them fix the problem.

reason, I have to wait for half day or one day to get approved by other group.
