發呆，“芳心是事可可”
9月9日早上，蕾蕾被大果叫醒。
“蕾蕾快起來，看外麵太可怕啦！”
蕾蕾一骨碌爬起來，兩人在窗前看外麵的天色如世界末日一樣詭異：九點鍾了，外麵還是很暗，整個世界仿佛被一張厚厚的暗橘色的棉被蓋住一樣，連街道上的噪音都比平時少，好像大家在這樣的時刻都躲在家裏不敢出來一樣。他們三人來到後院，發現煙味居然不大。蕾蕾上網查了一下，原來這次包裹舊金山灣區的煙塵是來自Oregon的大型山火，因為在比較高的地方，所以下麵聞不到太大的煙味。可是這種遮天蔽日的感覺，讓人心感惶恐。今年真是流年不利呀！
果真回到房間工作，大果開始網課。蕾蕾呆呆地看了一會兒窗外的天色，忽然覺得喘不上氣來。她縮在Robert的小床上，陷入了極度不安之中。她覺得自己心跳加速，呼吸急促，看樣子是焦慮症被突發的狀況觸發了。蕾蕾蹲循心理治療師的指導，開始閉上眼睛打坐，一次次慢慢地深呼吸。但很快那些吸氣呼氣就變成了低聲抽泣。她很想發信息給Robert，但又怕他擔心。她也不敢告訴父母，覺得無從解釋。她也不能給大果和大姨再增加負擔了……
蕾蕾慌忙和自己的精神科醫生聯係，很快在醫生指導下服了藥，然後在小床上縮成一團。她打開手機裏自己和Robert共同喜愛的歌曲playlist，讓音樂把自己包裹住。但是那些歌曲，每個都把她拉回以往的一個個瞬間，反而讓她更悲傷。就像是一個拚命希望到水麵吸一口氣的人，一次次被無形的沉重拉到水底。其中一首歌，是Calum Scott 唱的You Are The Reason。

蕾蕾聽著，哭著，迷迷糊糊睡著了。不知過了多久，她醒來看到窗外還是暗沉死寂。她拿起手機看了一眼，已經是下午三點了。太陽像是一個鹹鴨蛋黃掛在棕褐色的天上。手機裏有一條新短信，是Robert。蕾蕾打開一看，是他發來的一首歌。那條信息之前的，是蕾蕾剛才迷糊間發給Robert的You Are the Reason，連她自己也記不得了。Robert發來的也是他們共同喜愛的歌手Adele 唱的Make You Feel My Love。

蕾蕾聽著Adele磁性而極富衝擊力的嗓音，想著以前兩人相擁聽歌的情景，痛痛快快地哭出聲來，嚇得大果和果真都趕來查看。問清緣由，果真拉大果走開，好給蕾蕾一點空間。大果在廚房裏撓撓頭，歎口氣：“談戀愛真是要命呀！女孩子腦袋裏都在想啥呢？明明是開心的事嘛！” 果真不由得笑了出來，看來這個憨小子還沒完全開竅！
忽然門鈴響了，蕾蕾走過去開門。看到Robert風塵仆仆地站在門口，蕾蕾整個人呆住了。Robert丟下背包，把蕾蕾擁入懷中，在一個浸透淚水的長吻之後，他單腿跪下，從懷裏掏出一個小盒子，打開來，露出一枚別致的戒指。蕾蕾捂著嘴，破涕為笑。然後用手按著自己的心，啞著嗓子說：“你怎麽耽擱了這麽久！？”
“這個做起來比我想象的要費時間！”
蕾蕾的眼淚又下來了：“你做的？！”
“要不要試試？”
“嗯！”蕾蕾把手伸了出去。
“你還沒說yes呢！”
“你問了嗎？”
“嫁給我好嗎？”
“好！”
當那個小巧的銀色戒指套上蕾蕾手指的一刻，蕾蕾把Robert拉了起來，兩人相擁而吻。在牆後一直被媽媽按住的大果終於跳起來大叫：“Yay！蘿卜頭姐夫！”
