looking for a needle in a haystack

The weather is very warm this weekend. As far I can remember, it's the warmest winner we ever had. Is this caused by global warming?

Since eating out is not an opposition,We packaged sandwiches, had a very nice full day long walk yesterday. I enjoyed the scenery very much. When we were passing by a prairie with piles of haystack. I was asked by my husband if I ever heard a idiom called “looking for a needle in a haystack”

“no,” I said, “but is this one similar to looking for a needle in the ocean?”

“yes, exactly. “ he smiled.

it’s fascinating how different languages have so many similarities. But compared to looking for a needle in a haystack, looking in the ocean is much harder. I feel the chinese way to express how hard it is to find something is better, What do you think?
