In the middle of the road, a female giraff 

Stands tall, long legs, orange colored coat

Gazes at the Jeep, moves away slowly,

Knowing she is being marveled 

 

A male bush elephant casts a silent gaze 

Towards the ranger driver, as it crosses

Right in front of the Jeep,

Sending shivers to the hearts 

 

She feels the gaze upon her

Hot and dry, like African wind

What lights up the bushfire? 

Oh, the burning hues of Africa sunset
