每年的春天 我們吟唱安魂曲 為了
那些未能從冬眠中蘇醒的動物
那些飛往南方途中夭折的大雁
那些被大雪壓折的常青樹，還有
那些未能從低溫活過來的多年生植物
2022年的春天 我們吟唱安魂曲 為了
那些被迫持槍抵抗的手臂和驟然停止跳動的心髒
那些百萬難民望向家門最後一眼的回眸
那些被戰火硝煙剝奪了第一聲哭泣機會的嬰兒
那些未及給家人帶回麵包便消逝在炮火中的百姓
那些行駛在安靜鄉間路上被坦克炮擊的老夫妻
那些再也打不開的雙肩背書包 行李箱 和年輕的眼睛
慈悲的上帝啊 請遣來天使將他們領入您的天國
賜予他們永恒的安息 並以恒久之光將他們照耀
可是 他們的靈魂又何以得到安息
如果 那些對所有這些暴行負責的人
繼續以炮火和硝煙遮蔽春光
如果 洞穴裏的冷血蝙蝠們 正興奮地尖叫
密謀在未來的春天裏 發動類似的偷襲？

【2022 Spring Requiem】

Every spring, we sing a requiem for
Those animals that fail to wake up from hibernations
Those geese who died on their way to the South
Those evergreen trees crushed by heavy snow
Those perennial plants that didn't survive low temperature
In the spring of 2022, we sing a requiem
over and over again, for those
Arms forced to resist with guns and the hearts stopped beating
Those millions of refugees who look back at their homes for the last time
Those babies who were denied the chance of first cry in the smoke of war
Those who were killed by gunfire before they could bring bread to their families
Those old couples who were shelled by tanks on quiet country roads
Those backpacks, suitcases, and young eyes that can never open again
Merciful God, please send angels to lead them into your kingdom of heaven
Grant them eternal rest, and shine on them with everlasting light
But, how could their souls find rest and peace
If those who are responsible for all these atrocities
Continue to block spring sunlight with fire and smoke of war
If the cold-blooded bats in the cave are screaming with excitement
Plotting to launch a similar sneak attack in the coming spring？
