為節約時間以便在博物館看更多的展品,我們隨便在DIA的Caffetiria 吃了晚飯,吃飯期間3個人把各自看到的有意思畫作交流了一下,發現有幾幅博物館推薦的精品我沒看到,於是按兒子給的導引,直奔這幾幅畫,算是盡量少給自己留點兒遺憾吧!
離開DIA徑直驅車前往定在Toledo的民宿,天徹底黑之前就找到了,已經晚上十點多了。以便第二天(周六,7月6號)有充足的時間去參觀TMA。
TMA離我所在的城市不太遠,開車一個半小時。這個博物館還是通過網友Willows介紹知道的,她說這個博物館非常不錯,當時(今年4月份)還有卡拉瓦喬的特展,自己想一個人開車去看看,可還是因為自己的膽怯和懶惰沒有成行;這次兒子他們幫我實現了,隻是遺憾的錯過了卡拉瓦喬。這個博物館確實不錯,藏了好多大師的作品,尤其是她附帶的玻璃展廳,更是讓人眼前一亮;真是沒想到在這樣一個不起眼的小城市,還能有這樣一個館藏如此豐富的博物館;感覺像挖到寶藏了一樣

藍天,白雲,紅磚地,綠屋頂,給這個以希臘式大理石柱為主的,博物館正門印襯得更加莊嚴肅穆。

還有這些矗立在門前的現代雕塑,給博物館增添了活潑靈動的氣息。
我們走過博物館主場,沒有入內,而是首先來到她的Glass Pavilion 參觀。

一進玻璃展廳首先看到的是莫奈的巨幅照片,仿佛他正看著麵前這朵如睡蓮的五彩花瓶,思考著如何把她畫下來。

莫奈的睡蓮圖襯托著Tiffany 繁花盛開的台燈,還有羅丹的思想者加持,好有意思的組合。

The comedy and satire found in the Italian theatrical traditions of Commedia dell'Arte inspired master Venetian glassblower and flameworker Gianni Toso to create this elaborate chess set. Toso grew up in the Catholic faith and later converted to Orthodox Judaism.
Merging his personal religious history with historical Venetian theatre, the chess pieces reference Franciscan Catholic and Hasidic Jewish traditions.
opposing black-robed pieces portray those of the Jewish faith. Toso explained, "On the Jewish side, the king is the written Law, the queen is the calendar that represents the Holy Shabbat. [...] On the Roman Catholic side, the king, as the pope, is head of the church. The queen, or Sister, represents love for the church." Toso's flameworked pieces show in fine detail the appropriate costume, hairstyle, and accessory of each figure's respective rank. Included in these details are various
symbols of faith: crosses, Torahs, menorahs, and candles.

當然少不了我們中國的藝術,左邊一組是12屬相唐俑;右邊一組是穿中山裝的現代12屬相。可以看得出新版的身體是誰的了吧
本來是想把整個博物館喜歡的藝術品都在這集發完了,但帖照片時又哪個都不想落下,越貼越多,隻好再開一集了。
