近在咫尺的對華人侮辱事件

九月二日在美東的紐瓦克（Newark) 機場發生了因為Alaska Airline 的一個工作人員對兩位華人的種族歧視引起的機場疏散恐慌。詳情請見下麵的報道：

我家就在離Newark很近的地方，所以當時看到了機場疏散的報道，但不知事件起因。九月六日讀了上麵這篇事件經過，看到真正的原因竟是歧視華人，我非常氣憤。在網上Google了一下後，發現美國其他媒體均未報道事件的起因。Alaska Airline的官方更未對當事人和Newark機場的乘客表示任何歉意。 平靜下來之後，我給Alaska Airline 的 CEO Brad Tilden （[e-mail]）寫了以下的email：

Subject： Racial Profiling at Alaska Airline

Dear Mr. Tilden,

I was extremely shocked to learn about Alaska Airline's treatment of two Asian Americans this week, as well as your lack of responsiveness on this issue. As of today, I do not see any tweet or public acknowledgement for a major and inexcusable racial profiling incident. I am myself an Asian American and have taken several flights on Alaska Airlines and Virgin America, and the thought that something like this could happen to me or my loved ones, with no apology or acknowledgement from the central headquarters, is appalling to me. I will no longer take flights on Alaska Airlines or Virgin America until you make a public apology, reimburse those victims involved, and reprimand the employee in question.

我的信是九月七日發出的，至今沒有收到Tilden或是他的秘書的一字回信。我因而就想，這個事件的當事人如果不是兩個中國人，而是黑人的話，情況會是怎樣？

如果你看到這裏和我一樣憤憤不平，和我一樣覺得中國人的尊嚴在我們心中至少應該和我們的孩子能上哪個大學一樣重要的話，請給Brad Tilden 寫一封emai表示你的不滿吧。我不在意你將上麵的email原文照抄。隻有集體發聲，我們的聲音才能被聽到！ 我已經在Twitter 上DM 了@AndrewYang, I am sure his voice can be heard much further than mine, if he cares about this issue at all, of course.
