Theoretically, you could take the SAT and SAT subject tests as many times as you want. However, some colleges are able to see the amount of times you took the SAT, so I would recommend taking it 2–3 times. On the other hand, for ACT, there is a limit of 12 times you could take the test, but colleges will not be able to see how many times you’ve taken it. Even though you can take the SAT as many times as you want, try to get the highest score you could get every single time you take it. In addition to that, if you keep on retaking test, it gets a bit costly since it is around $40–$50 per test.
