A Letter to Son

Dear Alex:

How are you.

I am sorry that I did not say goodbye to you in person when you left for work. I kept thinking about you on Sunday. Allen and I reviewed some old pictures of you. I hardly believe that you are almost twenty and have your first paid job now. I am very proud of you.

Living on your own is a big step. Cooking, cleaning, budgeting, paying the bills, shopping, and filling the gas now become your responsibility.

You know that we will be there for you all the time.
