One corn kernel’s sprinting

 

Faster than an autumn wind, than a train

Faster than the chase by a corncob

Can’t be obstructed by rivers, and flood season of fish

Can’t be delayed by hills, and an accident of red maple

Can’t wander in a spell of swan goose’s honk

 

Ah, so small

So big the world

Ought to reach the other end of life before nightfall

Has to pass through the tomb of autumn wind, pass through snow, and spring’s pain

No pause for one moment, no pause for one moment

 

Pass through cities, pass through neon lights and insomnia like oceans

Pass through castles, and rose’s death

 

It constantly lifts thunders from its heart, the simplest grain of golden yellow

快過一場秋風，快過一列火車

快過玉米棒子的追趕

不能阻隔於河流、和魚的汛期

不能耽誤於山坡，和一場紅楓的事故

不能在一陣雁鳴裏徘徊

 

是啊，這麽小

世界多麽大

要趕在天黑前跑到生命的另一頭

要經過秋風的墓穴，經過雪，經過春天的疼

一刻不能停，一刻不能停

 

經過城市，經過霓虹和海水一樣的失眠

經過古堡，和玫瑰的死亡

 

它時刻高舉內心的雷霆，最樸素的一粒金黃
