Tonight, the Moon Is Bright and Round

Papa, you sailed to the ocean

on a dark stormy night

you said you couldn’t take me, this time 

a man’s last voyage on earth 

has always been a lonely one

 

My son, you sailed to the ocean

under bright sunrise glow

you said you couldn’t take me, this time 

it is time to start your own voyage 

as an ambitious young man 

 

My love, you sailed to the ocean 

under scarlet sunset sky

you said you couldn’t take me, this time 

your voyage is heading towards a destination 

far away from mine

 

Tonight, the moon is bright and round

the waves are making gentle sound

sitting on a small boat in no man’s sea

I watch the true face of life on earth

unveiling slowly, before my eyes

爸爸，你在一個黑暗的暴風雨之夜

起帆駛向海洋

你說 這次不能帶上我 

一個人在地球上的最後一次旅程

總是孤身而行的

 

兒子，你在明亮的日出霞光裏

起帆駛向海洋

你說 這次不能帶上我 

應是一個雄心勃勃的年輕人

開始自己航程的時候了

 

愛人，你在猩紅色的夕陽天空下

起帆駛向海洋

你說 這次不能帶上我 

你航程裏不得不駛向的目的地

離我漸行漸遠

 

今夜，月明玉朗

波浪發出輕柔的聲響

我坐在“無人海”裏的一隻小船上

看地球生活的真麵目

在我眼前 慢慢揭開紗幕
