三個月的惡心嘔吐

終於熬了過去

超聲波視屏上

突然像黑洞般無望 神秘

名字都想好了 

 

兩條細淺的紅線

仿佛兩道射向哀傷暗穴的強光

宣布了麥克的到來 

第一次去看產科醫生的路上

我把車停在路邊 哭了

 

兩次被送去醫院 因為假產

一整夜的掙紮後 又被遣回

我知道 他很敏感

每次彈鋼琴給他聽

他便停止胎動 立刻變得安靜

 

麥克從小喜歡小動物

清澈的大眼睛 似乎一瞥

便將周圍的世界與人心一覽無餘

有一次爸媽在車裏爭吵 

媽媽哭了 五歲的他在車後座

輕輕地說：“我們愛你”

 

今天 麥克十四歲了

嗓音變粗 個子終於超過了媽媽

就要成為地區年齡最小的雄鷹童子軍

在媽媽眼裏 他已經修成了大器 

隻因為 他敏感善良的心地

 

生日快樂，麥克

我們也愛你

 

 

 

    【We Love You Too】

Three months of nausea and vomiting

finally over. the ultrasound screen 

suddenly looked like a blackhole

mysterious, hopeless 

I have already decided the name for the baby

 

Two thin red lines, as if two strong beams 

shot at a dark cave of sadness

announced Michael’s arrival 

on my way to the obstetrician for the first time

I parked the car on the side of the road, and cried

 

Sent to the hospital twice, due to a false labor

I was sent back after struggling all night

he was sensitive, I knew

every time I played piano for him 

He stopped kicking, and 

became quiet immediately

 

Michael loved small animals since he was a child

his big clear eyes, as if he could see through 

the world around him and people’s heart at one glance

one time, mom and dad were quarreling in the car

mom cried, five-year-old Michael in the back seat 

gently comforted mom: “We love you”

 

Today, Michael turns fourteen years old

his voice became deeper and 

he has finally surpassed mom in height

soon to be the youngest Eagle Scout in the region

in his mother’s eyes, he has already made it 

only because he has a sensitive and kind heart

 

Happy birthday, Michael
