I saw a perfect picture today 

A pretty wife and a handsome husband

Beautiful kids and a cute dog

All smiling near a Christmas tree

 

Isn't this heart breaking?

I finally meet the twin of my soul

He has planted his roots

Many years ago

 

Lawn, to be mowed

Dinner, to be made

Children, to be raised

rituals and peace, to be maintained 

 

Isn't this heart breaking?

So close to love, yet so far away

I saw a perfect picture today 

So perfect, it broke my heart
