西門慶女婿陳經濟出獄，與乞丐同伍。好心老王樂善施舍，陳得錢就逛妓院，兩日花光， 襪子換飯。老王又慈心救濟， 陳再逛妓院。 填不了窮坑， 老王送陳做道士。 陳入新道，道士奸陳，貢品開店， 捐款私囊，遊逛娼樓，包占歌女。

 

Chen, Ximen’s son-in-law, is out of jail, but becomes a beggar.  Mr. Wang helps Chen with clothes, food and money. Helping Chen make living, Chen spends all in the whorehouse in two days, and comes back to Wang, Wang helps Chen again, Chen spends all again. Wang sends Chen to a temple to be a monk. Chen learns new tricks from monks, who also molest him. Chen takes what he learned from monks to sell donations/gifts for money, and spends his dishonest gains to visit whorehouse and own prostitutes.
