A Gentle Creature from Fyodor Dostoevsky.
now i have to write a rational book review and my personal response, an essay. i will do that, not now , feel so bad after reading that book, can't find a word to describe my feeling properly, so sad, so lame.
OK, this book is about a person in 18th century Russia, his name is oh-uh, dono. it's the mysterious main character, we don't even know his childhood that much, his life story told from his own mouth, we can't assume that's ture, because he has deliria. he talks and talks, like most dreamers, the book itself presented in a diary format, pretty like 《狂人日記》. He reads a lot books, speak in a quite nerdy fashion, he live mainly in his imaginations and forget about his ture real identity, (I do feel quite dangerous at this point, i was a dreamer and i still have tendency to become one!) but one night might change his life, now the book devided in three part, the first part is called the White Night, he felt perticularly happy one day, and on his way home, he hums but at the very point he encountered a girl who was about to jump into the river, she didn't but she was crying, really sadly. he felt his heart shrinks and he want to search for some consoling words. but he's an awkward person. then the girl saw him and start to walk away, then an old guy attempt to rape her somehow(that's how i understood it then he flung himself out to rescure the girl....they get to know each other, they discovered they are all the same type of persons, lonely and lame in Petersburg. so they decide to become friends, they met at the very same spot of their first encounter every night at ten, five nights passed, they both changed so much emotionally and physically.
wanna to know why? read the book!
