CALGARY -- Lance Bouma continued his unexpected scoring prowess Wednesday night with his fourth goal in as many pre-season games. Real Madrid Jersey . Now the Calgary Flames prospect will sit back, wait and hope he did enough to make the team. In the Flames final pre-season test, Calgary fell 3-2 in overtime to the Phoenix Coyotes. Defenceman Zbynek Michalek scored the winning goal. Coach Bob Hartley said the Flames will make several cuts Thursday as they get closer to the 23-man roster they will deploy when Calgary opens the regular season one week later in Washington. "I dont want to go down, Ive played in the minors before, I know what its all about," said Bouma, the Flames third round draft pick in 2008. "I know I can play here so I want to be here, for sure." Due to a serious knee injury, Bouma was limited to just three AHL games last season. That came after a 2011-12 season in which he was called up in January and spent the rest of the year with the Flames. He was a good bet to make the club last year but badly injured his knee in October while playing for Abbotsford (AHL) during the NHL lockout. "For a player that basically missed the entire year last year, Lance showed up in great shape," said Hartley. "We saw him work here last year during his rehab. Hes a very committed young man." Known more as a physical player at 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds, Bouma has just one goal on his NHL resume in 47 games. "After missing almost all of last year, its nice to come in and have success offensively. It gives me more confidence on the ice and in the way in the way Im playing," Bouma said. "I feel confident that Ive showed that I can play here, that my knee is fine and I have confidence in it. Hopefully they have confidence in me." Bouma says he wont let the stats sheet change who he is as a player. "I have to be an energy player," said Bouma. "I need to be as physical as possible and get in and forecheck as much as I can. Thats my game and I have to bring that every night." Boumas goal on Mike Smith from a scramble in front was one of two goals in less than two minutes that suddenly tied the game 2-2 halfway through the third period. It wasnt pretty but Hartley says thats going to be the way it has to be with this team this year. "If we can have scoring throughout the lineup, thats going to be very helpful," said Hartley. "I dont think we have one go-to guy offensively that will get 100, 110 points. If we can get scoring from our support guys that will definitely help this hockey club." The other goal for Calgary (4-2-1) was scored by Corban Knight, another young forward who is on the bubble of making the team. Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Shane Doan also scored for Phoenix (3-2-1). The Coyotes finish their pre-season Friday night with a home game against the San Jose Sharks. Mike Smith had 29 saves to get the victory while first-year Swiss goaltender Reto Berra had 22 stops for Calgary. Berra was making his home debut for the Flames. Acquired last year from St. Louis in the package Calgary got in exchange for Jay Bouwmeester, the 26-year-old has played his entire career in Switzerland. He has been locked in a goaltending battle with Karri Ramo and veteran Joey MacDonald. "Its getting better. For sure, the more youre on the ice here, you get more comfortable," Berra said. "I gave everything I had. I think I did pretty good. I think I can play in this league, but its not my decision at the end." Notes: Notable scratches for Phoenix included former Flames David Moss and Derek Morris along with Rostislav Klesla... Not dressed for Calgary were Jiri Hudler (lower body) and Mike Cammalleri (hand), who are both nursing minor injuries. Brian McGrattan also did not play. Hudler and Cammalleri are expected to be ready for the start of the regular season. Angel Correa Jersey . The Toronto Argonauts released the impressive sophomore quarterback a little more than two weeks before he was scheduled to hit the free agent market on February 15, perhaps sending teams interested in the 25-year-olds services into a mad dash to finalize their pitches. Blank Real Madrid Jersey. - Albert Pujols departure from the St.Got a question on rule clarification, comments on rule enforcements or some memorable NHL stories? Kerry wants to answer your emails at cmonref@tsn.ca! Hey Kerry, I was watching some of the Montreal vs. Tampa Bay game and have a question regarding the disallowed goal in the second period. If Im not mistaken, a goal that is missed can only stand after a delayed review if there have been no other stoppages between the goal and the time of the review. If play has stopped and then continued it is tough luck so-to-speak. Am I also correct in by understanding that goaltender interference cannot be the reason to waive off a goal that is under review? The only thing reviewable is whether or not the puck crossed the line and if it did so cleanly off of a player and not the result of being kicked in or gloved into the net, etc. So my question is - how was the goal that was missed because the puck went in and out of the net off of the net camera then reviewed at the next stoppage of play but waived off and deemed "no goal" because of "incidental contact with the goaltender?" While I personally think that goaltender interference should be something that is factored into the review of a questionable goal as it very difficult for the on-ice officiating crew to catch sometimes and even more difficult to make a split second decision as to whether or not the goaltender is trying to sell goaltender interference, regardless, shouldnt this goal have counted for the Lightning? Matt Henschel Matt: You are correct in your assertion that an undetected goal must be reviewed at the first stoppage of play. We also know that at the present time goalkeeper interference is not a reviewable offence. If goalie interference were to occur that call must be made exclusively by the Referee(s) on the ice. The four officials can conference following the scoring of a goal where it was suspected that goalie interference might have taken place. We have seen situations where the initial call by the Referee on the goal line has been reversed through the conference process. If a Referee deemed incidental contact with the goaltender took place even though he did not witness the puck enter the net (undetected goal) and which was subsequently confirmed through video review, there is nothing to prevent that Referee from disallowing the goal based on his initial observations. On the initial play Referee Mike Leggo was in very good position and focused intently on a battle for position that was taking place between Habs defenceman Doouglas Murray and Tyler Johnson of the Lightning in the Montreal goal crease area. Keylor Navas Jersey.   Cary Price was in his set position, square to the puck and shooter when the Habs goalie was bumped from behind by Tyler Johnson through "incidental" contact. The contact caused Price to spin/turn slightly and lose his balance and his ability to properly defend the shot (Goalie interference can occur inside or outside of the crease). Leggos primary visual focus was on the potential for goalie interference (which he correctly determined took place) and as such did not witness the hard shot slip past Price and rebound off the net-cam and out as evidenced by the referees emphatic washout signal.  When "incidental" contact takes place and there is the absence of a goal being scored (or detected) play is allowed to continue. The only time the Ref would stop play is if he ruled that goalkeeper interference had been committed for deliberate contact; in which case he would assess a penalty. Play continued for 32 seconds before the Tampa net was dislodged, whistle blown and video review was initiated to determine if the puck had entered the Montreal net. Referee Leggo took the head set and waited for a determination from the Situation Room. If the verdict was returned that the puck did not enter the net then there would be no further explanation required. On the other hand, since an undetected goal had been scored Referee Leggo would revert to his initial decision that Tyler Johnson was guilty of incidental contact on Habs goalie Cary Price and appropriately disallow the goal. The decision to disallow the goal was made exclusively by the Referee and independent of video review. The Situation Room informed Leggo the puck had entered the net. Referee Leggo then informed the hockey world that it had been done so through illegal means (incidental contact of the goalie) which he determined on the initial play and therefore the goal would not stand. In this situation Referee Mike Leggo and the system currently in place performed to perfection. Like you Matt, I would prefer to see goalie interference become a reviewable offense; not to assess a penalty but to determine the legitimacy of a goal. I would also want the review to take place at ice level and performed by the Referee(s).  I am sure the Refs would welcome the opportunity to personally review the play through video and make the final determination at ice level. After all, thats what they get paid to do. Well done, Mr. Leggo. Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys China Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '
