Dear son:

 

The only thing we, as parents, would like to see from our children, is that s/he is safe, healthy, happy and energitic.

 

No matter what scores you get, no matter what prizes you win, and no matter which college you end up with, our love to you will not be impacted a bit. The joy you bring to us will not be impacted a bit.

 

Neither will these outside effects define you. Your value comes from within, and from your self-efficacy. As long as you trust yourself, trust your efforts, trust your genes, and follow your internal desire, you will become a great man. And finding peace in mind in this college mania era, especially in the area we live, will be the little extra bonus side effect all of us will get in the remaining high school time.

 

Always remember that if something didn't happen in the way you wanted it to, it only means that your life is just taking another route towards the destination. Try to enjoy this alternate path and alternate views.  You are the only one that can be in charge of your destination.

 

Don’t worry too much, you will be fine, and your life will be much better than ours! Try to enjoy what you are doing. Or find something that is enjoyable to you.
