針對至少數萬人的要求，白宮終於回複了！通篇避重就輕，有如媒體巨鱷abc的官方發言人，令人無語。
一位三番群的朋友對信件內容總結如下：下午4:35收到白宮請願網站(或稱白宮民政局，或白宮包子鋪)的email，是回複關於10月16日美國廣播公司辱華言論的請願，說人家已經道歉啦，也采取措施啦，美憲第一修正案保護言論自由，即使該言論惹人不快; 聯邦政府不能逼迫abc取消該節目; 若不滿意，可以去聯邦通訊委員會fcc抱屈，他們管電波，不受白宮左右，雲雲。
一位朋友說：看了這個聲明隻想罵娘。雞毛之事和中國的 peaceful rise 風馬牛不相及，把兩個事掛鉤，用心險惡。大家要苦練內功，從基層發動更多亞裔選民和政客，反種族歧視之鬥爭任重道遠。
另一位朋友則回複：你也太對這些官老爺幻想了吧。。。 看這文筆，外交辭令都沒有， 就是一門衛等風平浪靜時打發的。。
一位女俠則說：同意。無中生有把這個扯出來，蠻不講理又別有用心。跟上次波士頓報紙上那個白癡讀者的來信有異曲同工之妙，哈哈。這下大家擦亮眼，不會被那些貼金美化的語言蒙蔽了，那不是給所有人的。
一位朋友很憤慨地表示：所謂選票民主，就是如果你人數不夠，哪怕你的要求正義合理，也把你當成空氣。雖然我是中國人，但這次抗議根本不是中國美國的事情。通篇回應，有如abc的代言人發言，實在滑稽！他說：也許這和美國民主無關，和低劣的人性有關。隻要簡單的一人一票，就永遠逃不脫對弱勢族群的漠視。
更有朋友提出：那就按照一個加拿大的會員建議的，得繞過“白宮”這個中宣部，直接到聯合國去告。
