Saturday's Run

I slept 2 or 3 hours Friday night and the reason (a
percieved moral dilemma) was very different from the last a
couple of months ago. Anyway, my legs have not fully
recovered from Thursday's 10-mile run and I only felt good
enough to run at around 9:00am.
The sun was up but it was still cool. I wanted to have an
easy day and chose to run the short loop. There seemed to be
many foreigners on the trail today (Germans, I think) with
their dogs. Nothing extradinary happened and I ran alone
with my thoughts, mostly about which job offer I should
take, Korean foods, sourdough bread, etc.
As far as running goes, I think at this point I'm able to
appreciate good running techniques and I can tell in my own
running which strides are good and which sloppy. My problem
is still in the chasis--my legs and feet still need at least
one day to recover after a long run, e.g., 13 miles. I have
to lower my expectation of running a full marathon at under
8:30min/mile but I'm fine with that.
In the end I ran 11.5 miles at 8:36. The recovery was long
and sweet: I slept all day ;-)
