The Catcher in The Rye

一開始的時候我是多麽不合時宜的拿起這本書，在剛剛讀完段落嚴整的Robinson Crusoe之後，它越發顯得簡單潦草，出場的人物灰沉，消極，魯莽，滿嘴都是汙言穢語。這是怎樣大名鼎鼎的一本書，卻又荒誕的不著邊際。

這是一開始的感覺。

說到後來，說到為什麽作者那麽depress的心態竟能牽動著你的心，說到為什麽那麽多瑣碎的事情和情感竟能讓人絲毫沒有困乏，說到你會在最後一章裏怎樣欣慰感動，又是怎樣意猶未盡。。。因為真實吧，當你跳過那些汙濁的詞匯，看到很多思想意念平靜的流淌，在陽光的照耀下閃閃發光起來--

"Anyway, I keep picturing all these little kids playing some game in this big field of rye and all.  Thousands of little kids, and nobody's around - nobody big, I mean - except me.  And I'm standing on the edge of some crazy cliff.  What I have to do, I have to catch everybody if they start to go over the cliff - I mean if they're running and they don't look where they're going I have to come out from somewhere and catch them.  That's all I do all day.  I'd just be the catcher in the rye and all.  I know it's crazy, but that's the only thing I'd really like to be."  ~J.D. Anyway, I'm sort of glad they've got the atomic bomb invented.  If there's ever another war, I'm going to sit right the hell on top of it.  I'll volunteer for it, I swear to God I will.  ~J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye, Chapter 18
