最南城市赴南極，探險船隊始此地。

船頭塞滿衝鋒艇，南極探險不易遲。

陽光明媚無風雨，船到碼頭已午時。

換船趕赴碧遘峽，再遇企鵝在今日。

 

遊船承載二百人，碧遘海峽看海獅。

海獅企鵝居小島，巨鷹盤旋覓食吃。

海峽兩岸高山起，水深之處千餘尺。

最窄之處五公裏，二百公裏連兩池。

 

企鵝築巢建領地，迎風聚齊立礁石。

沙灘站滿幼企鵝，追逐嬉鬧另一支。

秋去冬來將北遷，企鵝結伴老途識。

碧遘海峽通南北，來年回家在夏時。

 

Note: Our boat zig zagged the Magellan Strait and arrived in Ushuaia of Argentina. With a population of 83,000 and a location below the 54th parallel south latitude, Ushuaia claims the title of world's southernmost city. At the port, many stealth-style ships are getting ready for their expedition to Antarctica. Our group of nearly 200 people, however, took a “tourist” boat to cruise the Beagle Channel and see the marine animals – we are not disappointed because we saw penguins, sea lions, and various birds. The 240km long Beagle Channel(5km wide at the narrowest point) provided passage for ships from Africa and Europe to the west coast of USA and Canada 115 years ago.
