"Best Offer" is a mysterious romantic thriller film from Italy released in 2013. The movie revolves around Mr. Virgil Oldman (played by Geoffrey Rush), a peculiar appraiser and auctioneer at a top art auction house. Throughout his long career, he has rarely made a wrong move, and his biggest passion is collecting portraits of women from various eras. Billy (played by Donald Sutherland) helps him acquire desired artworks at low prices, while a young man named Robert (played by Jim Sturgess) assists him in using technical means to authenticate antiques.
One day, a mysterious client named Claire (played by Sylvia Hoeks) enters his life with a large collection of antique artifacts. Claire claims to suffer from agoraphobia and never shows her face, but her unique method of communication captivates Virgil. He even seeks Robert's help in winning her over. Virgil eventually abandons his old life, only to discover a shocking conspiracy awaiting him.

This is a work of art. i was taken aback, to paraphrase a line of this gem of a movie, and I'll revisit every so often, for exellent movies are not meant to be seen only once.. Thanks for the upload, truly.
Love the movie. Good directer,cinematography, art design, actor/actress, scriptwriting, music, and surprise ending. Highly recommended.
Masterpiece! So you can find out sth is wrong from everywhere but just can't tell. Full of lies from all the beginning, auctions, Claire's excuses, Robert ... and of course is a lie in the end, but still Virgil hoping that Claire may show up in that restaurant? There is always sth authentic concealed in every forgery, that may be the only truth there..

本以為挺沉悶的電影，卻在描寫老人從怪癖孤傲自私變化隻為了愛上一個自閉女孩的情緒，情感上演繹得太棒了。而且背景後針對主人公的陰謀非常意想不到。 總結故事意料外的好看
