China will construct the world's highest-altitude airport next year in Tibet, which will the sixth in the strategic Himalayan region.
中國將在2012年建造世界海拔最高的機場,這將是喜馬拉雅地區第6個戰略性機場。
The airport, planned at an altitude of 4,436 meters in Nagqu prefecture, will be 102 meters higher than Bamda Airport in Tibet's Qamdo prefecture , currently the world's highest, state-run Xinhua news agency quoted a government work report as saying.
新華社報道說:該機場規劃在海拔4436米的那曲縣境內,將比昌都的邦達機場高102米,目前是世界最高的。
airport will cover an area of up to 660 acres.
該機場占地達660畝。
The Tibetan Branch of the China civil aviation administration has said the airport is expected to cost $285million with a three-year construction period.
中航西藏分公司表示該機場耗資2.85億美元,工期為三年。
Regional aviation authorities will add more flights next year to connect major cities in Tibet and also link the plateau region with other major cities nationwide, according to the document.
地方航空管理表示明年將在西藏的主要城市增開更多的航線,同時也會增加平原地區主要城市與西藏的支線。
The increase in flight services is expected to help Tibet's airports handle 2.2 million passengers and 15,000 tonnes of cargo in 2012, it added. The Xinhua report did not mention when the airport would open.
航班的增加預計將會幫助西藏帶來220萬客流和15000噸貨物,但是新華社並沒有提到機場的投運時間。
Tibet already has five civilian airports, at least two of which are only open for a few months of the year because of extreme weather which makes flying impossible the rest of the time.
西藏已經有了5個機場,其中至少有兩個機場由於極端天氣每年隻開放幾個月。
China has embarked upon a multi-billion-dollar program in recent years to revamp old airports and build new ones, especially in the remote west, as a way of boosting the economy.
為了發展經濟,中國近些年來話數十億美金的工程,以修繕老機場,建設新機場,尤其是邊遠的西部。

Not even a rail line has been laid between Arunachal Pradesh and mainaldn India. One MP from Arunachao pradesh in exasperation demanded his state be permitte dto have a line with China! China is laying a rail line with Pakistan via Afghanistan. But oyur Railways have been deprioved of funds and all the money goes to some stupid schemes that burn a big hole in our budget. All for keeping the Dyunansty in power..

中國幹的好,我們在幹什麽啊。在邊境拖拖拉拉的搞些所謂的項目。甚至連阿魯納恰爾邦和印度本土之間都沒有一條鐵路。一位來自阿魯納恰爾邦的MP憤怒的要求建一條與中國聯通的鐵路。中國正在鋪設途徑阿富汗的中巴鐵路。而我們的鐵路的經費被貪汙,都填進了那些愚蠢的所謂議題的黑洞裏麵,搞的預算千瘡百孔。一切為了保持王朝(甘地王朝?)的權力。。

desi(Mumbai)2 hrs ago (01:49 PM)On one hand China is building airport at such altitude spending several Million $ in 3 yrs..whereas India needs few Billion $ to build airport at normal places which takes min 4-5 yrs time frame. China can really claim the phrase developing. Indian leaders are still busy with quota and cast reservations...dont know when will they get time to wake up and do something fruitful for the nation.

一方麵,中國在這樣的海拔用三年花費數百萬美元建設機場..而印度需要數十億美元花4-5年的時間在平地規劃機場。中國真的可以跳躍發展。印度領導人仍然忙於選票......不知道他們何時會才會醒過來,並為國家做一些富有成效的事情。

當中國決策並實施的時候,我們的民主政府就像一隻跛腳鴨,隻能困擾於政策的癱瘓,沒完沒了,看不到頭。
