我的甜點進行時(4)

第九星期,也是公司女孩的RECIPE:THE BEST LEMON BARS

CRUST

1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour

FILLING

4 eggs
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1/4 cup all -purpose flour
2 lemons, juiced

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a bowl, blend together softened butter, 2 cups flour and 1/2 cup sugar. Press into the bottom of an ungreased 9x13 inch pan. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until firm and golden. In another bowl, whisk together the remaining 1 1/2 cups sugar and 1/4 cup flour. Whisk in the eggs and lemon juice. Pour over the baked crust. Bake for an additional 20 minutes in the preheated oven. The bars will firm up as they cool.

注:這個LEMON BARS的確名符其實,是BEST LEMON BARS!(RECIPE是從網上抄的)。

第十星期,沒做,空一個星期。

第十一星期,從老書上抄的RECIPE:SOUTHERN PECAN PIE

1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon flour
2 eggs
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup butter, melted, do not substitute
1 cup pecans, chopped
Whipped cream or ice cream for topping (optional)

Mix brown sugar, white sugar and flour. Add eggs, milk, vanilla and melted butter, beat well. Fold in pecans. Pour into unbaked pastry shell. Bake in 375 F oven for 40 - 50 minutes. Serve slight warm. Top servings with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.

由於這個RECIPE分量小,我做了兩個:



注:我家的OVEN是CONVECTION OVEN,比普通OVEN用時短,所以,RECIPE上的時間對我來說總是太長。這次,我隻BAKE了35分鍾,麵上還是焦了。不過,裏麵的PECAN很香脆,餡很好吃。公司裏凡不怕邊上焦糊,嚐過的人,都說很好吃。這裏要感謝我LG,力挺我做的PIE :-)

是火候沒掌握好。很多老的RECIPE都是針對普通OVEN寫的。我的是CONVECTION OVEN,所以要自己調整。不過我的OVEN也有普通檔,我以後用普通OVEN檔。
