Time flies. Jiajia is no longer the little baby who wouldn't let go of the milk bottle. She just turned 18 months on Oct 6th. Very strong stats from the 18 month checkup: 34.25" height (97%), 27LB 13OZ weight (90%) and 19.25" head circumference (95%). Whenever I think about her at work, her sweet smiles and voice came in the picture - all tiredness goes out of the window.
Jiajia has mastered quite many words by now and likes making her setences such as "blanket cries, stair cries....", "Sun GongGong comes out", etc. Her favorite are "da da hug" and "let me walk". I am amazed by her good memory, she can repeat many words after hearing them for just a couple of times. Her favorite activities are "peek-a-boo", "ride the horse", "chased by da da", and "play sand and pebble", etc. We took her to the farm fall festivals in the past two weekends, and she enjoyed petting the animals and feeding the chickens, pigs, and goats. She likes to figure things out herself - today she was finally able to fasten the highchair seatbelt herself; and she opened a bag of cookies herself and ate one!
Jiajia is quite sociable girl and does not mind hugs from our neighbors and friends who meet her for the first time. I hope it will be easy for her to transition to the daycare life in the coming Jan.
