【吉　　他】
　　吉他（英語：Guitar），又譯為結他。屬於彈撥樂器，通常有六條弦，形狀與提琴相似。吉他在流行音樂、搖滾音樂、藍調、民歌、佛朗明哥中，常被視為主要樂器。而在古典音樂的領域裏，吉他常以獨奏或二重奏的型式演出；當然，在室內樂和管弦樂中，吉他亦扮演著相當程度的陪襯角色。 源流與發展語詞流傳眾所皆知，「吉他（結他）」一詞，來自英語 Guitar 的音譯。而自古至今，即便是使用不同的語言文字的國家，對於這個樂器的稱呼，都有相似的發音－－－例如：西班牙語，Guitarra；法語，Guitare；德語，Gitarre；義大利語，Chitarra。而「tar」這個字根，則是出自梵語，在波斯 (今伊朗) 及北印度一帶，有「弦」的意義；後來這個語詞的流傳，又經曆了古希臘的 kithara (cithara)，阿拉伯語的 gitara，以及古法語的 guiterne，最後才演變為現代英語：Guitar。而這樣的轉變，也讓人感到疑惑，因為在樂器的分類中，古希臘的 kithara (cithara) 是屬於理拉琴族，吉他則是歸類在魯特琴族。因此，關於吉他這個語詞的來源，至今仍是沒有定論的。 追本朔源吉他雖然是一種古老的彈撥樂器，但關於它的起源卻是眾說紛雲，目前所知道的說法有三種：第一種就是前麵所描述的，源自歐洲古希臘的西塞拉琴 kithara (Cithara)。第二種，是美索不達米亞平原的長頸魯特琴演變說。第三種則認為，吉他是演變自古埃及的哥普特琉特琴 (Copric Lute)，由當時的阿拉伯－摩爾人傳入歐洲，並逐漸演變成的今天的吉他。
