【專輯介紹】

　　中央民族樂團1960年創建於北京，是目前規模最大，編製最完整，水平最高的國家民族樂團。樂團創始人為原中國音樂家協會主席、著名作曲家李煥之先生和著名聲樂教育家唐榮枚女士，現任團長為顧夏陽。
　　樂團由民族管弦樂隊、民族合唱隊、創作研究室等部門組成。樂團以弘揚中國傳統民族音樂文化為宗旨，收集和整理了一大批優秀的傳統民間音樂，並將其搬上舞台。同時還創作演出許多民族音樂作品，為發揚民族音樂做出了卓越的貢獻。毛澤東、周恩來、江澤民等黨和國家領導人曾多次觀看樂團演出，並給予極高評價，為樂團帶來了極大的榮譽。
　　樂團還湧現出了秦鵬章、王鐵錘、張藜、劉文津、薑嘉鏘、胡炳旭、閻惠昌著名音樂家，並擁有一大批在國內國外大賽中獲獎的優秀民族音樂人才。國內外著名音樂家嚴良坤、韓中傑、馬友友、鮑蕙簥、陳澄雄、三木稔、樸範薰等都曾與樂團合作演出。
　　建團四十多年來，樂團的演出遍及全國各地。並應邀到美國、前蘇聯、英國、法國、奧地利、德國、丹麥、西班牙、希臘、南斯拉夫、南非、日本、韓國、朝鮮、新加坡、香港、澳門、台灣等國家和地區訪問演出，受到國內外聽眾的高度讚揚，並榮獲第六屆和第十三屆世界青年與學生聯歡節最高榮譽金獎。
　　1993年樂團與日本音樂集團、韓國國立國樂管弦樂團共同創建了亞洲樂團，為促進亞洲民族音樂的創作和交流，做出了巨大的貢獻。
　　1995年春節，樂團首創了具有濃鬱中國民族特色的《新春音樂會》，獲得了社會各界的廣泛讚譽，並從1997年起由文化部主辦，江澤民主席等黨和國家領導人出席了音樂會。此後，一年一度的《新春音樂會》為每年春節期間的民族音樂盛會。
　　1997年，樂團應邀赴美國紐約、華盛頓、芝加哥、洛杉磯、舊金山等17個城市進行巡回演出，並在紐約卡內基音樂廳與世界著名大提琴家馬友友進行了合作演出，這是第一個進入卡內基音樂廳的中國樂團。演出在當地引起轟動，《紐約時報》、《洛杉磯時報》等美國最有影響的報刊紛紛發表樂評，盛讚樂團的精湛演奏。
　　今後，中央民族樂團將繼續為弘揚中國的民族音樂藝術做出應有的貢獻。
