　　徐沛東創作了大量音樂作品，其中有歌劇《將軍情》、舞劇《棗花》、電影《搖滾青年》、電視劇《籬笆、女人和狗》三部曲，《風雨麗人》、《東周列國》、《和平年代》、《雍正王朝》、《走向共和》、《我這一輩子》、《五月槐花香》等60多部音樂作品，並創作大量的美聲、民族、通俗及文藝晚會主題曲近千首。出品了近100多盤個人作品專集磁帶、CD等。代表作品有：《我熱戀的故鄉》、《十五的月亮十六圓》、《籬笆牆的影子》、《苦樂年華》、《亞洲雄風》、《不能這樣活》、《命運不是轆轤》、《鄉音鄉情》、《辣妹子》、《紅月亮》、《種太陽》、《久別的人》、《愛我中華》、《我像雪花天上來》、《大地飛歌》、《踏歌起舞》、《陽光樂章》、《天地喜洋洋》、《風景這邊獨好》、《中國永遠收獲著希望》等。除以上作品均多次獲得全國各類比賽的金、銀、銅獎外，還有60多首的作品獲全國各類大獎。
　　歌曲《亞洲雄風》（90年7月）獲第“十一屆”亞運歌曲傳播獎第一名。
　　歌曲《我熱戀的故鄉》（88年7月）榮獲第三屆“亞洲杯”全國青年歌手電視大獎賽歌曲優秀新作品獎。
　　舞劇《棗花》獲1992年全國舞劇調演優秀音樂獎。
　　電視劇《轆轤、女人和井》的音樂（91年4月）榮獲第11屆全國電視“飛天”獎最佳音樂獎。
　　歌曲《籬笆牆的影子》（93年5月）收入二十一世紀華人音樂經典作品入選錄。
　　舞劇《籬笆牆的影子》的音樂，榮獲第四屆中國舞蹈“荷花獎”最佳音樂創作獎。
　　電視劇《和平年代》的音樂榮獲第十五屆“中國電視金鷹獎”最佳音樂獎，同時還榮獲第十七屆（1996年度）全國電視“飛天獎”優秀音樂獎。
　　電視劇《雍正王朝》的音樂榮獲第十七屆“中國電視金鷹獎”最佳音樂獎，同時還榮獲第十九屆（1998年度）全國電視“飛天獎”優秀音樂獎。
　　電視劇《雍正王朝》的歌曲《得民心者得天下》榮獲最佳電視劇主題歌獎。
　　兒童歌曲《你我手拉手》及歌曲《英雄》（97年）雙雙榮獲第六屆中宣部精神文明建設“五個一”工程獎最佳歌曲獎。
　　歌曲《中國永遠收獲著希望》、《中國我屬於你》、《中國新聞工作者之歌》（99年）三首同時榮獲第七屆中宣部精神文明建設“五個一”工程獎最佳歌曲獎。
　　歌曲《大地飛歌》、《踏歌起舞》（2001年）雙雙榮獲第八屆中宣部精神文明建設“五個一”工程獎最佳歌曲獎。
　　歌曲《今天的你》（2003年）榮獲精神文明建設“五個一”工程“第九屆”入選作品選。
　　歌曲《愛我中華》（2001年）榮獲中國歌曲首屆“金鍾獎”金獎。
　　2003年歌曲《漓江情》在南寧國際民歌藝術節第二屆中華民歌大賽中，榮獲創作一等獎。
　　1992年榮獲中國唱片總公司“金唱片”編曲特別獎。
　　歌曲《中國我屬於你》（98年）榮獲北京市首屆文學藝術獎。
　　多次擔任國內各重大文藝演出的音樂總監及比賽的評委工作。代表國家多次參加國際音樂節、流行歌曲比賽的評委工作及文化交流活動。曾出訪的國家有：美國、德國、意大利、法國、澳大利亞、羅馬尼亞、韓國、日本、埃及、希臘、土耳其、奧地利、捷克、斯洛伐克、俄羅斯、哈薩克斯坦、新加坡等國家，另外，還曾多次出訪香港、台灣等地區。為文化部組建並帶隊92、93、94、95年《中國風》赴香港的演出工作。
