Windflowers
My father told me not to
Go near them
He feared them always
Said that they carried him away
勿近風花,
吾父勸吾。
常懼風花,
恐其攝魂。
Windflowers
I couldn't wait to touch them
To smell them
I held them closely
Now I cannot break away
渴盼親近,
一嗅芳澤。
緊握風花,
片刻不離。
Their sweet bouquet
Disappears
Like a vapor
In the desert
Take a warning, son
風花之香,
如煙消散。
以此為戒,
吾父警吾。

Their beauty captures every
Young dreamer
Who lingers near them
Ancient windflowers I love you
風花之美,
攝人心魄。
不朽風花,
吾之所愛!
