I listen to Delilah show whenever I work in the kitchen at night, a night radio show on two of my favorite music stations. I love her style, passion and warm feelings toward people who call in to dedicate songs. I admire her for her abilities of enabling people imagine her broad smiles or deeply concerned looks and titling of her head or gesturing of her hands as her voice comes in through the invisible waves from miles away, which I am lack of but many people like her are blessed to have at birth. I especially thank her for companying me through the daily cooking time.
I have noticed that a sizable group of the callers either are devoiced or have had children before tying the knots. I am not old fashioned, only amazed by the changes of social values and the comfortableness of people talking about or listening to those issues. Modernization has sure brought along some unexpected and unavoidable effects.
