Yuanyuan--1.5 years old today!

Several things about Yuanyuan:

We went to Olive Garden for dinner last night. After we finished up soup and salad, the server took our plates away, but left her 2 little plates there since she hasn't finished yet. She seemed really concerned about his taking our plates away and kept saying "MEI, MEI". We explained to her that we finished those up and our dinner was coming. Didn't know how much she understood, but she put her 2 plates together and wanted to give them away too :) Later her dinner came: macaroni & cheese. She loved it and finished two thirds of the bowl!

Yuanyuan learnt several words from daycare: Yeah, Byebye, Hi and No. She says "No" a lot to us, though sometimes she does not mean it. Do you want some water? No. Do you want go to daycare? No. And the other day a little accident happened and she said:"Oh, no...!"-- another method to use "No". Yesterday her teacher told her daddy she had some friends in daycare now and she communicated a lot with them yesterday. She could say their names :) She can say a whole lot words now. She was eating peach yesterday and it was really easy for her to say "peach" after me.

More than 1 month ago, Yuanyuan's daddy used screwdriver to change battery for her toy. Don't know how she remembered that, but a few days ago she carried her little movie toy, which is really heavy for her, to the drawn in the kicthen and got the screwdriver to the back of her toy and "fixed" it. Then she said "HAO" happily and carried the screwdriver to her toyes and "fixed" those. Speaking of remembering things, she really has wonderful memory. She knows where everything is. Even I don't know the screwdriver is in that drawn.

Yuanyuan can also put things together. Once we showed her an old picture taken in Easter. In that picture, she was playing a big yellow bunny balloon. That balloon was broke shortly after that picture was taken. After she saw that picture, she went to the laundry room and pointed a yellow plastic bag on the top of shelves, where she can not see well from the ground, and wanted it. She thought that was her balloon!Though she is such a little girl, she started to have her own preferance of clothes several months ago. Yesterday morning I picked up a shirt for her, while she was with me, but she insisted to pick another one.

Having a baby is so much work but much more fun! Her daddy and I look at her little face so many times while she is sleeping and feel so moved that we have this little angel!!!
