參觀 Treasures From Chatsworth

上個星期終於克服懶惰去參觀了蘇士比拍賣行 Sotheby’s 的一個特展：“Treasures From Chatsworth”.  朋友告訴有一段時間了。就是因為就在家門口，幾乎天天經過，卻一直沒有推門入內。 那天下午早下班，陽光燦爛之晴空下，覺得有心情和閑情了，終於在跨進家門之前先拐進了蘇士比。

Chatsworth House 是英格蘭貴族 Cavendish 家族自16世紀起擁有的家產，以精美的建築設計及豐富的藝術收藏聞名。看展覽中家族自拍曆史短片，感歎貴族的傳統可不是能一蹴而就的，幾個世紀傳承至今。從 Wikipedia 裏的介紹此家族：

The Cavendishes have been one of the richest and most influential aristocratic families in England since the 16th century, rivalled in political influence perhaps only by the Marquesses of Salisbury and the Earls of Derby. 美國總統肯尼迪的姐姐 Kathleen Agnes Cavendish, Marchioness of Hartington (née Kennedy; February 20, 1920 – May 13, 1948), also known as "Kick" Kennedy, 嫁給了該家族的 William John Robert Cavendish, Marquess of Hartington (10 December 1917 – 9 September 1944)。

我非常喜歡這個雕塑，總是驚歎雕塑家能把冷硬的大理石雕出輕柔的細膩的麵料的感覺。

收藏的其他藝術品：

蘇士比的二樓同時在展覽其內部員工的藝術作品，不多，但形式挺多樣的，有多媒體物質，攝影、繪畫、雕塑等等藝術形式。
