這次的新專輯《Another Piano Stories: The End of the World》收錄了《太王四神記》、《おくりびと》、《懸崖上的金魚姬》、《おくりびと》等其他專輯中的曲子，更是收錄了久石譲與女兒麻衣合作的 Nissan Skyline 廣告曲《I Will Be》。

久石讓（1950年12月6日－），本名藤澤守，日本作曲家、歌手、鋼琴家。長野縣中野市出身。國立音樂大學作曲科畢業。“久石讓”這個名稱的來源是他的偶像─美國黑人音樂家及製作人昆西瓊斯（Quincy Delight Jones II）。他把“昆西瓊斯”這個名字改成日語發音，再聯上最近似的漢字姓名，就變成了“久石讓”。久石讓以擔任電影配樂為主。特別是宮崎駿導演的作品，從《風之穀》（風の穀のナウシカ）至《崖上的波兒》（崖の上のポニョ）的24年間所有長篇動畫電影的音樂製作，為宮崎作品中不可欠缺的人物。
