好友Tina昨天結婚啦！我是 Matron of honor，小朋友分別擔任花童和 ring bearer，隻有老公沒有任務。婚禮在一個曆史悠久的餐館，很溫馨很愉快。我累慘了。
上些孩子片片：
我做了一個toast。差不多是從上次我寫的那篇寫Tina的中文post上稍微改了一下。
Good afternoon! For those of you who don't know me, I am Joyce Hong. I want to start by congratulating Tina and Ken, and thanking all of you for coming here today.
When I look at Tina and Ken, I feel such a whirlwind of emotions. I know that Tina has found her true match and they have a wonderful adventure ahead. My heart is bursting with joy for you two today.
Tina and I met at UT in the summer of 96. I still vividly remember the first time we met. I was to see a friend in the biology department. And while waiting for the elevator, I noticed this girl standing next to me. She wore a long flowing skirt and a straw hat. It was interesting, unique, and bohemian. We took the same elevator and walked together to the same office. My friend opened the door and saw us, "Oh Joyce, I see that you and Tina have already met."
And so we became instant friends. Tina is easy-going and witty, open-minded, and full of adventurous energy. I always enjoyed my conversations with her, because she has such interesting and unique perspectives on things, and she radiated an upbeat attitude of life. Her laughters are infectious, and we often laughed so hard it hurt.
Her best quality though, I think, is her unconditional acceptance of her friends. Tina never judges or complains about any of her friends. She cherished them for being totally themselves, and she always sees the best in them. Whenever I'm with her, I always feel totally at ease and comfortable, and I'm always laughing so much, and being able to talk about any and everything.
After college, we both worked at motorola as engineers. We ate lunch together almost everyday, and often took a long stroll on the walking trails after lunch. It was absolutely the best time of my day.
When I met Ken through Tina, I knew she's found her perfect match. They look so cute together. Ken is gentle and caring and treats Tina as his princess. And Tina just beamed with such happiness and joy. They have already become comfortable with one another, and their joy is so contagious.
Tina, you look absolutely beautiful. My thoughts fly back, way back, to the college campus 15 years ago, to that smiling young girl with the straw hat under the flowering trees, to the dreams and passions we shared along the way. So much has happened since then. And I'm truly ecstatic for my dear friend to have found her soul mate.
So this is to you, Tina and Ken, and a wonderful life together. Please raise your glasses, ladies and gentlemen, to Tina and Ken!
