Urgent. Please help.

我07年12月底申請EB2，I140在08年7月獲得批準。在08年11月，我的H1B已滿六年。因I140批準，我獲得H1B延期至2010年11月。我的H1B是不占名額的那種。
我工作的大學即將被收購，收購者隻對房產感興趣，我可能在今年八月失業。
請問各位大俠：
（1）我該如何保持身份？
（2）我聽說：如果我換工作，我就必須重新申請綠卡。因我的工作簽證已滿六年，如果重新申請綠卡，can I still get my H1B transfered to the new employer？If so, will I keep the expiration date (2010年11月)？Will it work if I just transfer H1B without applying for Green Card?
（3）Do I have to find a job in an non-profit institution with the same or similar job description? Since I have a second degree on other field, can I go with my second degree?
