The Jackson 5是Motown最後一支偉大的，也是70年代最成功的流行樂組合之一。組合由五兄弟組成：Jackie(1951年5月4日出生)，Tito(1953 年10月15日出生)，Jermaine(1954年12月11日出生)，Marlon(1957年3月12日出生)和Michael Jackson(1958年8月29日)出生。 他們在印地安娜州的加裏市長大，最早是由其父Joe Jackson於1966年組織的演唱組。基本上他們都是圍繞著Michael的主唱進行表演，雖然他年紀最小，但是顯而易見他最富天才。這個組合引起了Motown的注意並於1969年簽約。他們最早的四首歌曲是“I Want You Back”,“ABC”,“The Love You Save”和“I\'ll Be There”，全部進入過1970年榜首位置。 1971年的“Mama\'s Pearl”和“Never Can Say Goodbye”幾乎一樣成功。 1972年，Motown將Michael Jackson和Jermaine Jackson放了單飛，以後的日子裏組合的影響逐漸開始變小，盡管1974年他們重拳出擊了“Dance Machine”。1975年，Jackie,Tito,Marlon和Michel與Epic唱片公司簽約，加上兄弟Randy(1961年10月29 日出生)，組成了“the Jacksons”(the Jackson 5的名字屬於Motown)。（Jermain一直呆在Motown,直到1984年重新加入這個組合）。
