Sub: Visitors visa extension
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am enclosing the application and the documents for the extension of stay for my father who is currently in the US on B-2 tourist visa. According to his I-94, his authorized stay expires on xx/xx/xxxx; however, he would like to extend his stay in the US until xx/xx/xxxx.
We haven’t gone back to China since I visited my parents 5 years ago. Now with two children and my busy work, it’s impossible for me to go and visit my dad in China. My two girls are my dad’s only granddaughters. He really wants to form a strong bond with them. My parents were here for 6 month when my first daughter XXXXXX was 1 years old. And they couldn’t came back to visit us until Hannah was 3. It’s so sad XXXXXX didn’t even remember her grandfather when he came this time. It takes time for XXXXXX to get to know my father again. Now my second daughter, XXXXXX, is 1 year old. We don’t want this happen again. In addition, both of my daughters attend full-time daycare, so my dad can only play with at night and weekend. By just staying 6 more months, it will give XXXXXX and XXXXXX more time to know their grandfather and build a strong tie to him. So they will remember him. It’s very important for our family that my dad is part of Hannah & Christina’s life. In additions, I intend to show my dad more tourist destination of US in the summer.
During his extended stay, my father will continue to stay at my home located at xxxxxx. My husband and I will continue to provide all financial support to him during that time.
Enclosed the following documents:
8226; Copy of Form I-94
8226; Copy of all pages of passport
8226; Proof of financial support including Form I-134, bank statement, employment letter
My father has strong ties to China. My grandparents, my brothers and all other family live in China. He has absolutely no intention to stay permanently in the US. I assure you that he will promptly return to his home in China before the end of their authorized extension of stay.
Therefore, I respectfully request you to approve his extension of stay and provide us with an extended I-94. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this application, please feel free to contact me at any time at xxxxxxx .
Sincerely,
