Internship at nonprofit and charit organizations

Summer is fast approaching for many anxious college students and their parents.  

Congratulations to students who have secured an internship, either paid or unpaid.

 For students who are still looking for internships, may I suggest you give a chance to  your local or national nonprofit organizations?  The downside is that you might not be paid for your time, the upsides are that you gain working experience,  direct interact with decision makers, potential opportunities to meet board members, see your hard work pay off immediately. Who knows , one day you might become a board member of a charity organization or start one.
