I would like give you mt 2 cents about this interview:

first of all, you'd better not ask this kind of questions like :where are you from if it is not for small talks. The questions of this kind give the interviewer an impression that you are not very skilled because the question is not deep, and not profession related.

secondly, I highly suggest you keep going with your job hunting. don't go to pursue the costly MBA program. I already told you why at the Career Forum. people at 50s are not good at starting a new career. Even though it is tough for you t to land a new job, keep hunting, I am sure you will find one. you need only one job, not a lot.
