This cat was recently found in a floating pet carrier in the Charles River near Weston, Massachusetts. A family that was kayaking in the area saw the carrier and noticed that it was moving, so they went near it and found this cat. She was nearly drowned and the carrier was nearly submerged. Additionally, she was hypothermic and gasping for air, and had bloody paws because she was trying to claw her way out of the carrier. Right now, she is being taken care of by the MSPCA (a Massachusetts animal hospital) and will soon be put up for adoption; an investigation into why she was in a pet carrier in the river is being conducted. Whoever did this could be sentenced to a five-year prison term or a fine of $2 500, according to Massachusetts law. The details and video are here:
