鞋：Merrell牌中幫（到腳髁）走路鞋，Gore-tex防水麵、Vibram防滑底。前年我有一陣對走路興趣很大，買了這雙比較專門的鞋子。有一次碰上傾盆大雨，鞋子裏麵照樣灌滿了水。說是防滑，在俄羅斯走過冰麵的小路，全家四口隻有我一步一滑，狼狽不堪。我總結了一下，說這鞋“沒屁用”是有點過分，但頂多就是“有屁用”。鑒於也沒找到比它更好的鞋，東非還得靠它。另外還會帶雙能走路的拖鞋，洗澡時也能用上。
箱包：帶個中型的拖箱，肯定需要托運的。背包有點頭痛，買了個防水的。估計它真能防水，但自身就有點重，而且裏麵沒間隔。可能最後還是帶個小孩子讀書的那種背包。所有照相器材、旅遊書、簡單的食物、藥品、眼鏡等等要放裏麵。
望遠鏡：新買了個Nikon 12-25/50的望遠鏡，非常好用，看得遠、清晰、視野又開闊，就是太大太重，還有點猶豫要不要帶。
照相器材：相機Nikon D90，鏡頭70-200/f2.8 VR II、16-35/f4、Teleconverter TC-20E iii。這又是個頭痛的事，試了下70-200/f2.8＋TC-20E iii，不是非常滿意，也許真應該買個二手的Nikon 70-400。我在想看大猩猩時離得不遠，肯定不需要TC-20E iii ，safari時也能不用就不用。Canon G10也會帶著，來不及換鏡頭時能用一下（現在明白了為什麽攝影大師們要挎兩門大炮）。Canon HD Camcorder當然會帶著，對我來說錄像比照相重要。內存卡若幹。充電器。豆袋（不帶腳架）。
衣服：兩件防雨夾克（一件厚些、一件薄些）、兩條牛仔褲、一件薄絨衫、十餘件T恤、內衣褲、襪子若幹。有點不明白如何把牛仔褲的褲腳塞襪子裏，那襪子還能再穿嗎？
醫藥：黃熱病預防針打了，黃皮書拿了。甲肝免疫，乙肝預防針還在打。防瘧疾的Malarone弄了三十四片，這是我保險能開的最大值了。一個朋友與我一起遊下半程，這藥的三分之一是為他開的。止腹瀉的抗生素與常規藥也買了。別的就是tylenol與急救包了。
旅遊書：DK的Kenya、Lonely Planet的East Africa。
雜物：手電、駕照、國際駕照（到時候請非洲兄弟把駕駛座讓給我過過癮）、備用眼鏡、舊手機（到肯尼亞買張電話卡放裏用）、防曬油、驅蚊油、萬金油、布袋若幹（盧旺達禁用塑料袋）、銀行卡、美金、信用卡（路上用）。
睡袋。這次坦桑尼亞、肯尼亞的Safari與朋友一起（他跳過了我前半段的烏幹達、盧旺達，直接飛到乞力馬紮羅國際機場與我會合），既是兩個人，就能包一個private tour了，找的是dztang若幹年前跟過的Planet Safari Adventure Limited。朋友希望這次旅行原生態些，我傾向於lodge，但說了幾次都沒用，也不好太勉強別人，就選了camping safari。他們提供睡具，我想還是帶個睡袋，萬一覺得不幹淨能用自己的。
下麵的動物照是上周末去華盛頓國家動物園拍的，Nikon D90＋70-200/f2.8 VR II＋Teleconverter TC-20E iii。本來沒必要全都用TC-20E iii，就是為測試，焦距全部是400mm。

２。正趕上Cheetah吃午飯。一周有一、兩次Cheetah吃兔子，不過是死兔子。
３。斑馬。其實離得非常遠，超過一百米。
４。上周日巨熱，動物比遊人還是舒服點。
５。銀背低地大猩猩（low land silver-back gorilla）。

８。看看老虎的利爪。這塊骨頭本來是給獅王的，飼養員叫了半天，獅王不知是沒聽見還是故意裝傻，結果便宜了老虎。
