Dear Parents,
Arising from our feedback session last week, as well as further
feedback that some of you have forwarded to me, my team and I have thoroughly
investigated the issues that you have raised, and have taken immediate
and necessary actions to rectify these concerns. I am pleased to share
with you these actions that we have implemented, and those which we
will be doing within the next couple of weeks. These are contained in the
attached file, for your perusal please.
I would like to take this opportunity to clarify that most of the
individual feedback that you have given had some common threads of concerns.
As such, what we have done to address these concerns is to cluster
your feedback into common areas covering:
- facilities management & general maintenance of the centre's
premise/ cleanliness
- management of children's common routines ( mealtimes, toileting,
departure activities)
- supervision of children & class allocation (class size/teacher:
child ratios)
- events
- communication
- staffing matters
For each of these areas, we have included brief points of the actions
that we have taken & will be taking. We would like to suggest that we
meet again this Friday, at 12.30 pm, to have a more detailed discussion
on our plans moving forward.
I also wish to reiterate that these matters that you have raised are in
no way representative of our standards of programme and service
delivery, and are in themselves, unacceptable to an established provider like
Learning Vision, known for our high quality standards. In view of the
gravity of the issues that have surfaced, we would also like to inform
you that we have immediately suspended the services of Kenneth with
effect from tomorrow, September 16. This is a position that we, as an
organization, take when matters escalates to such a serious level, to
enable us to put certain measures in place, monitor their implementation,
and continue with our evaluation of the situation. In Kenneth's absence,
the Centre will be supervised by Ms Estelle Fong, the District Manager
for the centre.
We also recognize the critical need for us to review and address the
issues that are directly attributed to the staffing challenges at the
centre. On this note I am pleased to share with you that we have been in
discussions with some of our ex-NTU staff, and are finalizing their date
of return to the Centre. We believe that their return to the Centre
will strongly support us in our endeavor to enhance our standards of
service delivery at our LV NTU centre.
I would like to conclude by assuring you that we will spare no effort
to rectify the issues and concerns that you have raised, and will
continue to closely monitor the centre and provide the necessary guidance and
support. Towards this end, I seek your support, cooperation and
understanding, as my team and I labor forward and put the plans into action,
in this journey towards excellence in our services.
Thank you.
Regards
