Although your excellent entry to the Portrait Society\'s International Portrait Competition was not a finalist this year we hope you will enter again. I\'d like to invite you to join us for the conference, this year or soon, so that we can meet you and follow the progress of your work.



If you want to try to come to Washington next month, there is still time to register for the conference although the special rates for our block of hotel rooms for attendees ends on Saturday. For your convenience we do have a one day rate if you can only come for one day, or you might like to come to the banquet to see who will receive the Grand Prize and join us in honoring John Howard Sanden with

the Portrait Society\'s Gold Medal.



In any case we would welcome you. If you decide to come we can arrange it over the phone as long as there are spaces left. I will try to call you this afternoon or tomorrow.
