湖南省華容縣。華容位於湖南省北部，嶽陽地區西北部，東界嶽陽、南鄰南縣、西與安鄉接壤、北抵湖北省石首和監利，地形北靠長江，南臨洞庭湖，除東北部和南部係丘陵地區外，其他大部分地區為衝擊平原，屬湖濱平原的一部分。縣內河湖密布，長江流經縣境，還有藕池河、華容河及東湖、西湖、塌西湖、大荊湖等湖泊分布其間。西漢時為孱陵縣地，三國時吳置南安縣，南宋更名安南縣，隋開皇18年改為華容縣。

我家遠祖是白居易，居陝西，元時先祖恒軒公諱尚吉由江西萬安縣令開調長沙知府，尋歸故裏而風阻於洞庭，泊舟華容南山，看見這裏的山形像紗帽，有祥瑞之氣，就留下不走了，經數代繁衍，已成大姓。清代鹹豐時出了個白海仙，跟隨左宗棠帶兵打仗剿發匪，用反間計計殺了侍王李世賢（忠王李秀成之弟），戰功赫赫，威望冠諸軍，在福建做了多年的官，官聲很好，後衣錦還鄉，死後夫妻合葬在終南山下。
