今年年初在新奧爾良和家人一起旅遊度假，住在downtown，因為臨街，隔著窗子每晚直到淩晨三四點都可以聽到街頭駐唱歌手的免費演出。有一次聽到一位歌手充滿激情與柔情的喊唱，“So darling darling, stand by me, oh, stand by me", "Oh stand, stand by me, stand by me", 歌聲滄桑而飽含深情，聞之動容，在我腦海中盤旋多日，揮之不去，度假回來後趕快在網上依據這句歌詞搜出了原唱，真是好聽的抒情歌曲啊，稱之soul music絕不為過。

歌詞也超級棒，“If the sky that we look upon
Should tumble and fall
Or the mountain should crumble to the sea
I won't cry, I won't cry
No, I won't shed a tear
Just as long as you stand
Stand by me”

大意是就是“即使天空顫抖崩塌，或者高山投於大海，我也不會哭泣，不會流一滴眼淚，隻要你還在我身邊”，特別類似於我們中文古詩裏說的“山無棱 天地合 才敢與君絕”（高山變成平地，天和地又混為一體，我才願意和你分開。），man, this is romantic to the gut!
